Citibank ATM withdrawal vs Funds transfer by TT

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am sure this has been discussed before.

If I withdrawal from a Citibank ATM machine, would the charges and exchange rate be much different as opposed to sending money by Citibank bank account transfer into my Bangkok bank.

Citibank doesn't charge a fee for international funds transfers.

Bangkok bank charges 200 baht for incoming funds.

If I withdrew 20,000 baht, not accepting the conversion rate on the ATM, would the charges for both be similar.

would I lose much on the ATM withdrawal  ?

I have a Citibank account in Australia.

ATM withdrawals at Citibank Asoke branch in Bangkok are fee free with a very fair rate, similar to rate published in Oanda web site, which I think is close to the TT rate.
