The Thai government’s “Chim-Shop-Chai” (Eat-Shop-Spend) domestic tourism promotion scheme has won the approval of most respondents to a Bangkok Poll, conducted by the Research Centre of Bangkok University.

The same opinion survey revealed Deputy Prime Minister and Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul as the top rated cabinet minister for his outstanding performance during the first three months of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s current administration.

Bangkok Poll gauged the opinions of 1,199 respondents, in different occupations and from all regions of the country, about their most favoured government projects and ministers.

Free money? Not a surprise then!

Also not a surprise that the percentages when added together come to well over 100%!

Can you ever believe surveys and statistics in Thailand?

Thai percentages are different.

All those undertaking surveys must have to graduate from the TAT school of economics.

Give the guy credit for trying to stimulate a faltering economy, however, if its free money from the government, it really isnt stimulating domestic spending as its taxpayers money being used...that being said, I suppose its on a par with a tax break which many other countries use.

Anything free or reduced in price is welcomed, not only in Thailand. But this is not the economical package that's going to stop the bubble bursting!
