11/11 Sales. Are they decent here?

Featured Replies

I know 11/11 is a big sales day in China, especially online. I'm shopping for some appliances online and see a lot of 11/11 sales adverts... in Thai.

I had no idea this was popular here too. Is this a new thing? Are the sales legit?

Lazada, for example, has some good discounts being promoted for their 11/11 sale, but you do still have to check out the sellers. There are decent sellers with decent stuff, but also some people selling rubbish. I stay away from people with no reviews and who have only been selling for a short time.g

Powerbuy are a big, legit store (part of the Central group) and they have some good deals for 11/11.

I guess you just have to look and foind out for yourself. Regarding sales, different people like different things, and therefore they will be seen as good, bad, better or okey depending on who you ask.

Another gimmick !(imho) they did the same for 9/9 if memory serves, treat as a pure sales draw and probably not any actual discounts, just appear like it, just playing with numbers to increase sales. Read digest and satisfy yourself as with any online purchase.

You have to compare the details, i would not expect too much.

I just checked the price for a new phone, Lazmall price 10,990, advertised for the promotion tomorrow and the price is shown as xx,xx0 THB (so the cheapest price possible would be 10,000, but probably it will be higher than that)

Other sellers are selling this phone now for 10490THB which even includes stuff like a speaker, fitness band etc, which the Lazmall offer doesn't include

So most likely the 11/11 deal will be worse than the regular price of the other seller.

If you plan to buy anything more expensive look the price up today and compare it tomorrow, but it would surprise me if you could save more than 10% anywhere.

And BLACK FRIDAY here we come, soon.

Its as good as the 12/12 sale but i always like the 3/3 and even better the 8/8 sales which are always special.

Looks decent.

I listed four items on Nov. 10th and wrote down the prices quoted at that time.

When 11/11 sales started only one item had the price reduced (10%), two had the same price and one had the price increased! All from Lazada Mall.

There are vouchers to be found that can reduce the price - but tricky to find as well as to use them.

I've seen tons of sellers up the price first so they can sell at a big discount that day. You atill pay the same peice, so be careful.

Saved (near) 200 Baht on 1200 Baht order at Lazada today ????

10/10 was also popular so was 9/9, i have no doubt 12/12 would be just as popular.

I shop on aliexpress and other chinese sites and its about the same every month.

Average discount from regular price about 10%

got a 30 baht voucher that was it

nothing decent had a discount worth buying

many people fall for it though so can see why it works

would be nice if popular products like iphones had a discount

I got a phone on 11/11. The actual price only came down 1% !! but i got a 1,111 baht voucher from Lazada. So not bad but nothing great.
