Don't know exactly why, but Loy Krathong is maybe the best holiday, and blows away Songkran, which just about drives me nuts.  Hung out with multiple generations of Thai's.. drinking, eating... Very chill, low stress.  Hope you all had similar experiences. 

I went to Wat saket and had a great time even if it did cost me a tariff to a dip ????
