Metropolitian
.. are staying in Thailand for more than 180 days a year, not married, not getting a salary and not owning a company or condo or any share. But just a regular immigrant living in Thailand based on non-O visa for volunteer. I have bought items that goes to the home where I am staying long term, tiles and roof and solar and electrics. The company where I bought the stuff asked me if I do want get a Tax Invoice bill, which made me curious as the 7% part is not something to throw away. If I was a tourist, I can get a tax refund claim on the airport, assuming the goods were carried out the country too. But I am not. I am living here on a temporary base as everyone else is. Not getting a salary from my job, so not having a Tax number. Has anyone been there? In that same situation? Please share your experience.
Popular Post josephbloggs
I think they assume you are buying it on behalf of a company in which case you would want a tax receipt issued in the company name with company tax ID. Don't think it's any use to you as an individual.
terminatorchiangmai
You only need a tax invoice if you have a company. No tax on the receipt can give you sometimes 7% discount.
