You seem to be missing the fact that the whole of the EU, and many in the US, not just Mr. Biden were trying to get the prosecutor fired, because he was notoriously corrupt. I have seen absolutel

It's funny, we keep getting told by posters here that this fiasco has nothing to do with the Bidens, and yet every article that covers it makes mention of both Biden sr and jr. It is problematic that

All the issues, both real and imagined, can be taken up in the Senate trial, should it get there, which I doubt.

They really have a hard time grasping that 45 as they call him could shoot a guy on 5th avenue and the senate isn't going to impeach him. They always say you don't know this for sure. The reality is the republican majority has said that they will never impeach him. That is straight from their mouths it isn't like I overheard them saying that on the phone.

That remains to be seen. If you consider failure to remove a debacle you're obviously right. That won't be happening. But this wasn't begun expecting that to happen. This was done because a line needs to be drawn about presidential abuse of power. The democrats are definitely on the right side of history doing this. The founders created impeachment for a president like 45 but they didn't predict twitter, gaslighting, and Fox propaganda news.

The paper that reported on the death of the austere religious scholar Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi?

A good sign this report may not be correct.

To hell with morality, decency, ethics and rule of law said Trump’s legend of die hard fans. What happen USA? Maybe this Thanksgiving will allow these recalcitrants to reflect. Then maybe not.

As Paul Ryan said, Trump is depending too much on image and personalities than policies. That’s how to beat him. Biden with a suitable vice who can bring in crucial votes will beat him. Dem will learn from Hillary mistakes to campaign more in states that she took for granted. Fear 2020.

Hasn't Bloomberg joined the melee? Nothing to say Biden will be the choice.

Nah. They're like my ex wife. She claimed she didn't snore so I made a VDO of her snoring ( with sound ) but she refused to admit she snored.

A battle of the billionaires- bring it on. That'd be very entertaining.

The more this farce drags on, the more you can see the eyes of the general public collectively glaze over. The Democrats have not made a case legally, and what is worse they were damn boring while doing so. The public has heard them cry "wolf" once too often.  Constant media reports of "bombshell testimony" and "explosive information" and the like have effectively killed the whole thing.

The best they can hope for now is a censure vote and be done with it.   On to the election!

I don't think Trump is finished. The Barr Durham investigation of the Russian collusion hoax is going to continue... which does lead to the now Ukraine related impeachment diversion from the real cast of characters on the take in the Ukraine. I am for a full public trial now... let's take this all to the senate and subpeona the lot of them.

They have been quite successful despite the stonewalling by the WH and Republicans. A set of converging and uncontested evidences against Trump has been produced.

You do realize impeachment is not about breaking laws, per se? It's the only way to hold a president that has abused her power to account and it's not a farce, and it is supported by the constitution.

Yep... let's do it. On to the Senate.

Sure and the senate won't convict and they will be on record for history as approving extreme abuse of presidential power. People that think they can predict all the details of political fallout from this process are kidding themselves. Each impeachment is a particular thing. The past tells us nothing about what the impact of this impeachment will be, but it needs to happen regardless.

I want to see Schiff, the Bidens, Sondland and the rest under oath. I will pay the circus ticket for this one.

Indeed and what we have learned (and not very surprising) is that basically ALL of the republicans value their tribal party loyalty over their country. Now they are on the verge of sanctioning a presidency now and in the future that is more like an elected dictatorship than what the founders intended --COOEQUAL powers.

Absurd, Anyway, be careful what you wish for. The senate trial will be presided by the SCOTUS chief justice. He will have to power to demand testimony from any and all of the witnesses that are part of the OBSTRUCTION OF CONGRESS article of impeachment that is sure to be one of the articles.

This has nothing to do with patriotism and everything to do with political posturing.  Presidents from time immemorial have leaned on foreign governments to get things done, have held up aid and trade deals and the like in order to score better conditions. Nothing new here at all.  Plus the fact that this has been going on from literally the day after the election in 2016.  Check the polls- most people are tired of it and want the Congress to get on with improving life for Americans, not wasting time on this obscure nonsense.

To get things done? Correction -- he held up desperately need military aid already approved by CONGRESS to get political dirt on what he perceived as his main political opponent in the 2020 election. When did a president do something like that before?!?
