Aliexpress / Amazon pay by credit card fees

Featured Replies

About to order from Aliexpress or Amazon, not sure yet but need to pay by credit card looks like in US$. If I use my Thai Visa card / mastercard and I going to get hit with some ridiculous fees or ex rate? Would I be better off using my Australia card? Anyone ordered off them lately? I don't use Paypal

For Aliexpress I am using my US credit card (which has my Thai address) and there is no OS fee since payment started being made in USD. Have no idea what would happen with a Thai card.

Depends on the terms of the card being used. Not all cards are the same. I have some US cards that charge a foreign fee and some that do not.

My card charges a fee, 3%, but since Aliexpress changed to USD billing it has not been applied.  They must be acting as a US firm now.  Lazada gets the OS fee.

I bit the bullet and used my Australian credit card. I figured I already lost money when I exchanged AUS to Thai. I checked my bank withdrawal and was practically to the cent advertised ex rate...no fees etc
