The Parade of a sports event at a high school in lower Isaan

The so called "sports week", an event that takes place on three days is an annual event that occupies many students for quite a long time for their preparation.

The photos are for those who've never seen such a parade. I hope that some of you'll like these photos.

I too have attended one in the past... a lot of hard work and practice goes into the preparation.

Good on them!

I'm sure that their parents and relatives must be proud.

If they put this kind of effort into their studies, I would be more impressed!

Show, show, show ................. and no substance. Thailand at its best.

Nice pics.  ????

Thanks, mate. That was actually my point when I decided to post these photos. I was in the blue team and all involved had to buy a shirt for 250 to 290 baht.

Would the teachers at this school teach the kids some critical thinking and allow them to ask them questions, they'd be on the right way.

Unfortunately, is it as it was 15 years ago, IMO even worse. These teachers usually sit in the classroom and update their Facebook pages while the students have to copy a passage of a book.

I've never seen a student learning anything by copying something from a book into a notebook. Pinocchio's Armada made all even worse and I do understand why so many students skip classes.

Another great topic!

The old and the new-school parade taken by a mate 50 years ago

and a photo taken by me by way of contrast..
