Small spotted coral snake (I think). Highly venomous but a mouth small enough its hard to get a bite on you unless you offered it a finger. I turned one up in leaf litter in my orchard once and read they often get found in gardens inside pots, trays or other containers.

I think you are spot on (no pun intended)..

First one I've seen. Think it arrived at our place today in some pot plants from Koh Phangan !!

Yeah, I reckon it's a small spotted too.

As Vern notes, he is a coral snake so is potentially dangerous.

Glad to see the snake is still in one piece , annoys me when I read  'What was this snake before I choped its head off ?

Live and let live.  Kill it and another will be along shortly so not sure why we don't let them exit-stage-left uneventfully.  Peace.

I don't kill any snakes.. My missus will occasionally nail a cobra if it's by the house, otherwise it's catch and release ..
