Securing A Loan

Featured Replies

Hey everyone

Recently, I applied for a credit card to two banks here in Thailand and they rejected my application. I tried other banks as well, still a no go. Now, I am looking into private money lenders and I can't seem to find any. Some qualifications needed to apply a loan on some loan applications is that you have to be a Thai citizen, which I am not.  I am looking for a private money lender who can offer a loan (to a foreigner) for 25,000 baht payable in installments for 6 months. If you can point me to the right direction, I would be truly grateful. Thank you!

Forget it, no one will loan you money, no private lender and definitely no banks unless you have a work permit, tax records and gainful employment that shows salaries coming in in order to service the loan...and even than being a foreigner is a 50/50 chance...

Surely a loan shark would look at it.

Just look around any telephone box, especially at markets, you will see

stickers looking to give loans, maybe even to Farang ?,

but not advisable ,
