webfact Posted December 13, 2019 Share Posted December 13, 2019 Mobile clinics help farmers overcome problems By The Nation Director of The Department of Agriculture Extension, Kemkaeng Yutidhammadamrong The Department of Agriculture Extension has announced it will organise four more mobile agricultural clinics to help farmers deal with a range of issues including pests and plant disease as well as climate change. More than 100,000 farmers used this service in 2019. “This project will help farmers nationwide by working with authorities under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives to solve problems that farmers encounter in farming,” the Department’s director-general, Kemkaeng Yutidhammadamrong said on Thursday (December 12). The first clinic was held in the last quarter of this year, with further training scheduled from January to March, April to June, and to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty King Rama X during July 22 to 31. Clinic services cover 11 aspects namely, land, plant, livestock, fishery, water irrigation, cooperatives, accounting, law, rice, sericulture, and others. The Director-General added that the department will also follow-up the result to ensure that problems will be successfully solved. “Farmers can follow the news of this project on the website https://clinickaset.doae.go.th or inquiring information at Provincial Agricultural Offices and District Agricultural Extension Offices nationwide,” he added.
