Pattaya: Armed German troublemaker was let in by Big Oud on "Thailand Elite" visa

It has been revealed that the German man who was annoying his Thai and foreign neighbors in Pattaya with a gun is on a Thailand Elite visa.

These are the visas that the Thais use to attract the people they really want. They cost up to 2 million baht for a 20 year stay.

But people are still subject to the laws in Thailand - and Lars, 48, along with his 28 year old Thai wife have been anything but good neighbors.

Yesterday immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang - the man known as Big Oud - was presiding over a press conference in which further details were given about the out of control German.

The chief stood in front of a vinyl board that proclaimed: "Immigration helps the neighbors - Flushing out a foreigner who is a danger to society".

But Naew Na said that "danger to society" had been welcomed with open arms on a Thailand Elite visa.

Lars was allowed in on March 8th and then went to Chonburi immigration in June and was permitted to stay until December 2nd. Region 3 officers swooped on his property with a warrant on 19th November.

Neighbors - both foreign and Thai - had complained that the "Elite" tourist was noisy, threatening, had sworn at them and had been shooting inside his property.

Naew Na also reported that the German had earlier been taken to Pattaya Police station. He had a concealed weapon taken from him after he carried it into Walking Street.

Immigration arrested Lars and his wife Sujitra at their house in November and charged them with illegal possession of guns and ammunition.

A 9 mm Glock automatic, magazines and ammunition and a BB gun were taken into evidence. There was also a quantity of other items used by serving police officers.

Apart from having to pay a considerable amount of money for an Elite visa, the Thailand Elite site lists the following as three of the five regulations needed to obtain the visa:

1) Being allowed to stay in Thailand in accordance with the immigration laws or any related law of Thailand;
2) Holding foreign passport;
3) Not having been sentenced by a judgment to imprisonment in any countries except for an offence committed through negligence.

So he makes noise inside his house..... Mmmm mm So what Thais do far worse and with the thump thump thump of their music playing till the wee hours every time they have a party. He has a Glock christ then he is not stupid I would have loved to have one when I lived in Thailand (had a very big dog instead) and OMG he swears so do lots of people me included but was he using those pesky sounds as verbs, adjectives or nouns? Why do so many people on here spit venom at anyone who they perceive effects them? Don't worry and chill as they hate you already and it has nothing to do with this guy or any other poor soul who overstay"s etc.

I was once offered a AK 47 rifle by a drunk soldier for only 8 K.

O I would have been so tempted. Put a little bit of lead in the barrel and removed the firing pin. Oh so tempted. Lol as for Isaanbiker REALLY! The police of course or any Thai male most have guns/pistols.

Yes, but still have 90 day reporting according to the requirements

yes i know but how does this comment from the op fit in with a 1 year permission to stay stamp, if he entered on the 8th march he would have been stamped in until 7th march 2020, he would have needed 90 day reports in June and september -

On an Elite Visa?

Complete mess of a report.

Got a 90 day stamp on entry, nothing elite.

And in the Thai article I can't find Dec 2nd?

The Thai article shows his full name.

His name connected with Pattaya is unlikely to be mixed up with another person.

You wouldn't believe what you find.

A video stating:

former German policeman.

Under age girls in "their" former Pattaya Agogo.

2012!

(whether or not this is trusted news?)

One picture shows him with Nils Kolov.

ELITE???

thai logic ; "people with money are good people"

Very astute.  As though 'monied' equals high quality.  The average backpacker is a high quality tourist compared to wealthy tourists. High culture and art determine quality people, the latter who are often, liberal, non conformist,  dont worship police and army nor 'laura norder' and dont regard drugs as a serious crime.  The junta has crucified Thailand.  Barbarians and Visigoths rule.

But there are loads of deaf Thai neighbours who live near me with huge angry dogs which are an all-day/night disturbance to the undeaf quiet farangs who don't hold bass-thumping parties until the early hours.
