Of course Pattaya is full of tourists why do you have to spurt your racist retoric by naming the race. I live in Pratumnak Pattaya and its the best of both worlds. I have a fantastic live in gf so I live a life of normality with the odd foray into the 'hell hole'. Nothing beats Patts for western convenience, proximity to the ocean and both international airports and foods from around the world. You'll only see the chinese and indians in the middle of town and the torist attractions, easy to ignore if you have a problem with them If you have some self control its a fantastic place to live. Jomtien is quiet and can be too quiet if you move to Na Jomtien...but as someone above said Pattaya can provide relief from the quiet with many activities to keep you busy...it is not seedy but can be rough...you can eat for 2$ or 100$, see a movie and have a place to stay for reasonable price... If it were seaside I would be there in a New York minute. Lots of farang of all ages. Lots of nice places to hang out and meet people. Enough P4P to satisfy virtually anyone. Less expensive than other major cities; more quiet, prettier. And right now (every Dec. 1 to 15) there is a sensational celebration that draws tens of thousands of people from all over the area. There's a daily, 1-hour non-stop flight between them both so when Udon gets too mundane and parochial, fly to Pattaya for a reality check.
