March 31, 200719 yr This post has bugger all to do with Thailand, or about ladies in Thailand. Forgive me in advance. I have just brought a cracking shirt - real nice T, great colour, nice style. It dosent fit though. My beer belly has seen to that. Any tips on how to make a little larger? I have tried dunking it in water and then having a serious workout on it - stretching and pulling - but i still look like a numpty in it. My mrs has no suggestions and wants to give it to her cousin. Any tips girls? I figure you ladies may have one or two lady like ideas? You know about this sort of thing, right? Sorry for the irelavent post. Just figure a may get a suggestion. Women know about this stuff. Its a few grands worth of shirt and i realy like it. Dont want to give it away. Its cotton, if that helps. Cheers, and sorry for the cheeky post, SKO
March 31, 200719 yr Your problem, SKO, is that you bought really good quality. Expensive, quality shirts are supposed to keep their shape, not go saggy & baggy. The only thing I can think of is stretch it over something large enough (ie a couple of pillows or something) & leave it for a couple of days. I'm not sure if it'll work, but if it works on leather shoes (shoe stretcher), it might on a cotton t. Good luck.
March 31, 200719 yr Lose the extra weight? Hhmm, go back to the shop. Frist try on a bigger size, and if it fits, buy it. Then go home and make your relative (and your wife) happy with the other shirt. At least that's worth the extra money, isn't it? Just my 2 cents, Nienke
March 31, 200719 yr Or, start a new trend: take the shirt to a tailor and ask her to split the side seams and put in a panel of a suitable fabric...
April 1, 200719 yr So, in other words Stick, we don't have a clue either. I know how to shrink a cotton shirt, but I am at a loss as to how to make one bigger
