I bought a Kingston 128 GB on Ebay but I expected it to be fake.

Why?

Was it cheaper than a 16 Gb stick?

This was some years ago. I have many very fast 128 GB SD cards. They are pretty cheap in the stores nowadays. About 600 to 800 Baht what I saw last time.

Why I expected it to be a fake? Because it was very cheap. But I wanted to have a fake one to find out what they do with it and how I still can use it without any problems. If you put it in the computer it will show 128 GB capacity. Sadly the SD directory can only handle the real 16 GB but writes on it as if it would be one with 128 GB. And this leads to data loss and chaos. With the partition trick you can avoid this. It was just out of curiosity that I bought such a fake SD card and I knew I will get my money back.
