Banknotes just waiting to be spent

Banknotes in all denominations have been prepared by the Bank of Thailand (BOT) to support spending over the holidays and will be adequate to cover the period from the end of December to early January, Somboon Chitphentom, BOT assistant governor of banknote management group, said on Tuesday (December).

 

“We always see a massive rise in the number of banknotes changing hands during the new year period,” he explained.

 

BOT expects commercial banks to disburse banknotes from BOT with a total value around Bt120 billion. “This is close to the total value of the last year” he added.

I'm confused by their figures, another story says 138 billion to be spent over the holiday - but 34 billion is on foreign travel. So this story - or the other - must be 20 billion baht out somewhere. Not exactly a small number

IT is all 'Fake New'..... Propaganda...... and the 'present' Gov't is hoping we will believe it.... 

And start to spend our money more freely...... This country is really obsessed with 'money'.... And just can't get enough money.... That is the only thing the Gov't is talking about now days.... since this present 'Democratically Elected Gov't' (LOL) was voted in..........

Thats what my wife says, It needs to be spent
