You will find that er maybe 100% of those on this thread throwing champagne socialist barbs at Keir Starmer were last month totally lined up behind William Rees-Mogg. Remember him?

Rees-Mogg is not a socialist, nor does he pretend to be.

Born and raised in London before being Oxford educated, worked as a barrister before becoming part of the political class. A Europhile who opposes the democratic wishes of the electorate. Part of the Westminster elite, the closest he ever gets to immigrants is probably his Polish nanny or his Romanian cleaner.

You think northern Labour voters are going to warm to him? Think they'll forget his betrayal of their vote? I'm sure he'd love everyone to forget the last 3 years but people are not that fickle, unfortunately for Sir Keir.

Oh dear, this is so full with charged phrases it took a while to stop laughing.

1) "The political class" .............you mean a politician.

2) Westminster elite.................You mean politicians that ordinary people have elected to represent them. I give you that many Tory MPs act like and consider themselves to be elite, and indeed some in other parties also, but there are many perfectly normal MPs who are not "Elite" in any way.

3)  A Europhile..............yes around half the voting population are, so what.

4) "opposes the democratic wishes of the electorate"...............oh dear, oh dear, you really have to try to get to grips with the basic fact that democracy doesn't stop when people vote for something you personally support. Otherwise no one would have the right to oppose Boris right now, nor would the Tories have had the right to carry on opposing Tony Blair. People have the right to their opinions, and to carry on fighting for what they believe in - THATS democracy.

5) " Betrayal of their vote" ................why the drama  queen?  He, and many others wanted a 2nd referendum because most thinking people were better informed about what Brexit actually meant after 3 years; and in the light of that knowledge it was reasonable to give them a chance to reconsider.

6) People are that fickle actually, and after a few more years of Tory austerity their focus may very well have changed (Those that are still around of course)

Pretending to be a human being is challenge enough!  ????????

He appears directly defended from the Lizard people from the constellation Draco (Ask David Icke)

God forbid someone to work for and earn a good bit of money, yet not join the Tory party and espouse different political views.

And you blokes bang on about democracy...

Don’t worry. If these blokes weren’t scripted with their three, four and five word slogans they’d be useless.

Thanks for the misdirection. Just the champagne. So that's alright then.

It's not me or anyone else on here you have to convince, its the voters of the Midlands and the North who chose the Tory party over a weak and dismal Labour shower of misfits, they have let the working class down massively, they (the Corbynistas) are a total disgrace.

When the working class flock to the Tories in their hordes, does it tell you anything, it tells me that the Tories are now the party of the people, sorry if that doesn't fit into your ideal socialist idealism, but that is the reality of the situation.

Enjoy Jon Richardsons take on J Corbyn.

We don't deserve the causticity or arrogance that keeps getting banded around on here. Would you like to sit down a tell us all about your dislike of other members that don't share the same views as you.

I guess you think Rees-Mogg had a better nanny.

Rees Mogg is honest about what he is.

Unlike these middle class Oxford graduates pretending to be Oliver Twist to get votes from the working class.

So then, that's one vote for the aristocratic and upper class Oxbridge graduates versus the middle class Oxbridge graduates. Fantastic.

Star-Struck Starmer will be a gift for the Tories... another London metropolitan champagne socialist that is totally out of touch with the party further north. Obviously learned nothing from what happened, but there seems to be little choice. I guess they need to have someone lead them through the wilderness until someone new emerges. Starmer lacks charisma and decision making skills plus has a fail record from the CPS when he was head (total disaster) and not to mention a remainer from the fail shadow cabinet of Comrade Corbyn. On the comical side, he always looks like he's about to have a nervous breakdown, stressed or has just seen a ghost. He's a career jobsworth politician that will butt-kiss his way to notoriety. He is not a winner, just a "Yes man" for the more able politician who can follow orders.

Shhhh. It's the arrogance combined with the stupidity that prevents them ever getting into power.

If they became self aware they might have half a chance.

Keep it on the low low ????

Call it what you want, but one lot was delivering the democratic decision of the electorate, whilst the other lot wasn't, guess who won. I just love parliamentary sovereignty.

The Self-Aware Party. That would be the UKIP and Brexit Party supporters here who have now jumped ship. Sort of.

Incorrect.

Nothing to do with class. All about being honest about who you are and where you came from.

The voters can see it even if you can't. Hence Labour's massive defeat.

Quit whining, you lost for the fourth time. Suck it up buttercup.

The Hard Brexiteer Parties didn't win. That would be UKIP and the Brexit Party who you all supported prior.

Lol, no... nice trolling by cherry-picking one sentence out of 6 or so and attacking the poster not the post (as usual on here), despite arrogantly quoting it all. Maybe you should have just quoted the bit after the ellipsis at the start to show that you can't be arsed to address the rest of the post. C'mon, you can do better than that.

Yeah it was a real shame your side couldn't sort out the tactical voting despite the massive push by key figures. Even websites were set up to show them how to vote to keep the Tories out. Yet the intellectual Remainers couldn't manage it.

Not surprising though, the Europhile traitors couldn't organize a bargirl in pattaya.
