Visa exempt entry land border, consecutive

I have one 30-day visa exempt entry from Mae Sai in December, which I will extend this week at local immigration.

 

After the extension, will I be able to get another visa exempt entry via Mae Sai?

 

(Wondering, as this is "back-to-back")

A new calendar year started on the 1st of this month so you can do 2 visa exempt entries at a land border crossing this year.
