Hi all, i,m pretty well versed in mechanics, but just had a new battery installed on my car and they did it with engine running, i presume it is to protect the computer systems, but i have removed the battery before with no issues, any clues ? the new battery was fully charged, 

Moved to motoring .

 

They do that on some cars where electronic stuff and ECU's get upset.

Some cars electronics reset themselves some have to be reset by computer diagnosis.
