damole
I have a Leonics Green UPS that stopped working. Does anyone know where the official service centre is in Chiang Mai?
Crossy
Before shelling $$$ to get it fixed pop the lid off and check the batteries, they are readily available and easy to change.
damole
I just returned after 4/5 months, which is longer than usual. I plugged it in the and display flickered on and then stayed off. I left it plugged in overnight but no change. Should it work but just with no backup even if the batteries are dead? Should I get it checked out first before spending money on new batteries? damole
It actually corroded the battery terminal part of which is now stuck in the UPS battery connector.
damole
I took it to Amorn service in Chiang Mai and they said ฿2,000 including two new 12V batteries. A new Zircon 1200VA model costs ฿3,390 with a 2 year warranty. The Leonics is 10 years old but no reason to throw if it could be made to work reliably. Compared to my inverter in my apartment in India it really is a toy.
