American forces can penetrate Iranian airspace, destroy major military targets and inflict extraordinary damage with comparatively little Iran can do to prevent it. That is a spectacular military advantage. But apparently you, the gimp, has confused “we can bomb you very effectively” with “we control you.” The US hasn’t occupied Iran, installed a government there, or acquired the magical ability to dictate what happens inside a country of nearly 100 million people. Winning the bombing contest isn't quite the same thing as conquering Persia. Likewise, “nothing moves in Iran without our knowledge” and “we can destroy anything we want, any time” are rather childish interpretations of intelligence and military power. The US has extremely capable intelligence, but it isn't omniscient. Evidenced in the events of the last 24 hours. Weapons can be hidden, dispersed, moved and rebuilt, and Iran has retained missiles, drones and the ability to threaten shipping and US interests. If America really could see and destroy absolutely anything in Iran whenever it pleased, Iran presumably wouldn't still be capable of doing those things. The US could unquestionably cause vastly more destruction to Iran than Iran could cause to the US, but that doesn't mean Washington has unlimited power over Tehran. After months of extraordinarily destructive warfare, the US is still using military pressure, economic sanctions, blockades and negotiations to try to achieve its objectives.
