Daily News reported that netizens were full of praise for the actions of a modest Chinese man who was featured in a Facebook post handing out free face masks at Suvarnabhumi airport in Bangkok yesterday.

Poster "Graipass Chaleechai" said it was wonderful and thanked him for his kind actions.

The man would not reveal his name saying only: "I do for China, for friends".

The humanitarian gesture was widely appreciated said the media who even called the man "brave" in their headline.

So only for other Chinese or was he handing out to everyone ?

Good on him. It can be quite difficult to find masks at the moment, so for some this will be a real relief.

An old Chinese proverb says "beware of man bearing free gifts from China" [cough cough]

bless the "netizens"

Thumbs up....when one see's the crooks selling face masks on Amazon for UK£ 4,98/per pièce !!...full crédit to the gentleman....keep in mind that such viral outbreaks yield millions for many different actors in the pharmaceutical supply area.....mainly facemasks...authorities should stock very large quantities to avoid black market scum taking advantage of such global disasters....

Just surprised that he did not get arrested by the immigration or the department of labour for not having the correct visa allowing for a work permit which he also did not have.

Keep up the good work, Mr Chinaman!

You don’t need a very big brain to answer that

The quote said:  The man would not reveal his name saying only: "I do for China, for friends".

It has been repeated numerous times on British news channels that the face masks do precisely zero to prevent getting infected.

They *may* prevent YOU from spreading it if you have it by catching moisture droplets from coughs and sneezes, but cannot prevent viruses going through the other way.

Sent by the Chinese government?

There has to be one in each thread....

Can someone now come along and make a brown envelope comment please?
