SoSoCNX
Would a person with 20,000USD have to declare it at Thai immigration? Thanks
Crossy
From here https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/TH-Thailand-customs-currency-airport-tax-regulations-details.htm Quote Currency Export regulations: Local currency (Baht-THB): up to THB 50,000.- per person or THB 100,000.- per family holding one passport. Foreign currencies: unlimited. However, amounts of foreign currency exceeding USD 20,000.- (or equivalent) must be declared to a Customs Officer upon departure by all travelers. So 20k USD is on the line. Exactly where one would declare it on exit I cannot say.

Thanks total all cash on your person. some people have be tripped up because they forgot about the other "normal" small cash they were carrying that put them over the limit. Mavideol
wouldn't it be easy, maybe less worries and less paper work, to do a wire transfer or are there limitations to the amount allowed to transfer Edited February 3, 2020 by Mavideol spelling
