Democrats' bid to challenge Trump off to a messy start in Iowa

The messy start certainly doesn't help Democrats. However, what is REALLY going to be a problem in challenging Trump is the most important kitchen table issue: Economic optimism or the economy in general.

59% of Americans (the highest ever recorded by Gallup) think they're better off than they were a year ago. Only 20% (the lowest ever recorded by Gallup) think they're worse off than they were a year ago. As you can see in the graph, the gap between the better off and not better off has accelerated greatly since Trump took office.

While the optics of the Democrat bungling of the Iowa caucuses are certainly bad, I don't see it as a big issue come November- well, unless they keep screwing things up.

The big challenge for the Democrats will be data like that in the graph above.

Another problem for the DNC is Trump going after Blacks and Hispanic votes. Van Jones on CNN pointed this out today to the panel and they ignored him. Trump is up to 20/30 %, depends on which poll you see with the black vote. After the SOTU last night, as van Jones said, the DNC better get their act together fast. I believe his approval ratings for Hispanics is around 49-51% also. It’s the economy stupid!

Democrat economic philosophy is a stark contrast to financially strong Main Street and an equally strong Wall Street.  That's why none of the current candidates have a plan to IMPROVE on Trump's policies and programs.  The candidates say that the current economy is not helping Americans, but none offer any ideas to improve it that follow a free enterprise matrix.

And these incompetent stooges want to take control of your Healthcare, education, immigration and of course, over half of YOUR money.

The dems are a stain on the nation, even more than the establishment republicans

As a non-follower of American politics i'm curious; Is the one Trump calls Pocahontas drunk or on some sort of medication? I don't follow it at all but she generally resembles Joan Rivers with a hangover whenever she's door-stepped by the press.

You might be confusing Warren with Pelosi.

Warren is a hyperactive candidate for POTUS, and she is the one that Trump refers to as Pocahontas.

Pelosi looks like what you described: Joan Rivers with a hangover.  She's the Speaker of the House who ripped up the copy of Trump's speech.

Correct, I was referring to the one who ripped up his speech.

The more that Iowa Democrats and the DNC squabble -- and the DNC tinkers with the caucus votes -- the more fuel is poured on the conspiracy to screw Bernie. Again.

UPI reports that Bernie wins in votes. Buttigieg wins in delegates.  Sanders won over 6,000 more votes than Buttigieg in the first vote, and over 2,500 more in the final vote.  Sanders supporters are claiming it was rigged against Bernie.  Who can trust this now -- or even a recount or do-over?

What a mess.  And Democrats want to run the country.

Messy start? It's a catastrophe. It reeks of incompetence and cheating! And these are the people that say TRUMP is a threat to democracy?

Incredible.

Americans are watching and paying attention to these shenanigans. Oh and why is it the problems with voting almost always seem to happen in areas that Democrats control? Coincidence????

Interesting, given Buttigieg wants to get rid of the electoral college. This Democrat primary is producing more laughs every day. It seems they've concentrating on doing nothing but GET TRUMP so intensely, they probably can't even walk and chew bubble gum anymore.
