Trump ousts White House staffer who testified against him in impeachment - lawyer

. . . a constitutionally protected impeachment

. . .

If that had been the case, the letters requesting testimony would have instead been legally binding subpoenas after a full House vote and the Judiciary Committee beginning the process.

Where in the constitution is it written about the exact process that the house is required to follow? It isn't there. You're making stuff up. Trying to divert to process to defend an obviously guilty impeached president.

Funniest comment of the day... but don’t worry, in November you’ll get the chance to make such inferences and comments for another four years. Have a nice day.

Surely you're joking

The man has and still is serving his country honorably. In this instance he did exactly what he is paid to do.

Truth is a very terrible thing in the very white house. And Trump has a real abhorrence to it. Lockstep loyalty is demanded by the master, of his subjects. You must obey. You must tow the line. He commits a crime, and his subjects are expected to protect him. Crime is good, if it is done in the name of re-election.

Trump is a coward, a traitor, a draft dodger, a life long criminal, and a bankruptcy king. And a terrible leader of men.

But should get him for insubordination, violating a direct order, not using the chain-of-command. conduct not becoming of an officer and maybe more.

So why is everyone surprised?

Not surprised and he will be getting even worse.

The complicit republican senators in not taking this opportunity to remove this impeached president basically endorsed this.

This vulgar man has squandered our decency

From the birth of the Republic — indeed, from the birth of Athenian democracy — it has been an article of faith that self-governance cannot survive without leaders of character.

“Not much probity is needed for maintaining or sustaining a monarchical government or a despotic government,” wrote the Baron de Montesquieu, whose philosophy inspired the Framers. “But in a popular state, one more recourse is necessary, which is virtue.”

I did not know 'bullsh**' was an unpresidential word.

Obama said 'jackass' on tv ????

To call a constitutionally protected impeachment a coup is objectively, 100 percent, incorrect.

It's also absurd. The current impeached U.S. president who was not removed by the senate would have been replaced by Mike Pence if he had been removed. What kind of coup is that? Same administration.

You missed the point, the coup (slang) was against Trump himself, the man the Dems can’t beat. The Dems failed big time last election and even before Trump was inauguration the Dems were plotting his downfall by any means.

So no mater how much you spin it Trump won and will win again and, well basically you the Dems lost and lost bitterly.

His language is common more than vulgar, but his presentation and demeanor are vulgarity at its worst. Not to mention his taste in furnishings etc from what we have seen.

There you go again, you attribute statements to Vindman, you even put statements in parentheses, but you fail to provide a link to the source.

You presumably visited that source to extract and quote the sentences you have quoted.

Please provide a link to the source of the quotes you have given.

Sigh. Easily found most anywhere.

Lt Col Vindman:
Maybe that’s a bit of a… It’s not entirely accurate, but I’m not sure if I would describe it as false. It was consistent with US policy, and these items are used as messaging tools also, so a statement that goes out, in addition to reading out the meeting itself is also a messaging platform to indicate what is important with regards to US policy.

The word coup is not a slang word. Fact.

He won the 2016 election with the help of Putin. Beyond that it's impossible to predict. Again, there was no coup and if 45 had been removed the president would be Pence from the exact same administration.

I guess with this current authoritarian president Vindman's Dad and Putin were right - - the US really isn't better than Russia. At least when it comes to telling the truth about leaders.

Putin wins.

The American people lose.

Sad.

This kind of virtue signaling drama is really getting silly. There has to be an end to the overreacting, I hope.

Life is too short for this kind of thing.

How did putin go about this mystical influence of people who voted?

Details please, with actual facts. Not the ridiculous claims that "unnamed sources or so many agencies say.... Actual facts please.

I think you complicated the issue. All parties plot to beat their opponents. The Dems failed in previous election and plotting to beat Trump next election. That is politicking, not unusual.

Dems were doing their constitutional duties to investigate and trial him for impeachable acts. Previous investigation by Muller as special counsel was appointed by Trump’s appointee Rod Rosenstein. No coup even if it was just a slang.

Calling legitimate commentary virtue signaling means nothing. Unlike 45 cult of personality followers, I don't think it's OK that 45 has turned the presidency into a totally above the law dictatorship especially because there was a vehicle to stop that, in the senate, and they chose not to.
