Dust pollution in Bangkok and nearby provinces showed a increase as of 7am on Monday (February 10), according to the Pollution Control Department.

Particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in diameter were found to be between 37 and 67 micrograms per cubic metre, while the safety level prescribed by Thai authorities is 50mcg per cubic metre or lower.

Areas with PM2.5 at unsafe levels were mostly in Bangkok.

Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index application showed at 9am that the overall air quality in Bangkok was at 99, considered moderate level.
