One of the 138 Thai returnees from Wuhan, who has been in Queen Sirikit Hospital at Sattahip naval base for treatment for a Covid-19 coronavirus infection since February 6th, was discharged from on Tuesday night after his condition had improved.

Dr. Rewat Kitnarong, deputy director of the hospital, said this morning that the patient, whose name was withheld, has re-joined the other 136 evacuees, who have been quarantined at the guest houses in the naval base, where they are being kept under observation for 14 days following their arrival from the Chinese city, the epicentre of coronavirus outbreak.

He said the condition of the second victim, admitted to the hospital on February 4th, has also improved steadily and a psychiatrist is due to meet with the patient today and it is hoped that they will be discharged to the guest house today.
