The cops did their job here with compassion but, how did she get out of the Hospital? 

My step mom went off her meds couple years ago. Mid 70s in age. Upscale Nevada suburb. Within two weeks she was caught by police naked walking in her neighborhood area carrying a large kitchen knife paranoid and manic. They tackled her and remanded  her to a mental facility under force of law. As long as she takes her pills she's fine.. Lucky she was not shot dead on the spot I'd call it white privlidge.
