The UK had it's first case on the 1st of February, which is now 22 days ago. As of now it only has 9 cases, and the weather has been cold as is expected in Winter. Singapore has had more cases and with a vastly smaller population.

uk has become a cashless society so less are using coins and banknotes to spread the virus unlike asia

I deeply trust any statements and statistics given by the honorable Thai government or the TAT. Thais never lie, ai farang!

  • Yep,  I believe - I've seen the light...

  • idiot; has he ever heard of an 'incubation period ' ?

Reading this is similar to being in the 4th grade. It's a virus that originated in China. China and most touristy countries are lying about it.

If you happen to live in one of such countries, wash your hands (carry soap with you), open doors with your shoulders, an N95 mask MAY help a little, but you're still going to get it if you come into contact with it.

Nobody (especially China) stopped it. Chinese people with it are still "escaping' it. It's ok to be wary of Chinese people. They are spreading it.

Thais really should stop blowing their noses in mall sinks. They should really wash their hands instead of rinsing the thumb and forefinger that it takes for them to hold their winky while they <deleted>.

These people are gross. Just as hygienically challenged as the Chinese.

The towns, all in the north of the country, are cut off from the rest of Italy now, not even the trains stop when they roll through. The church services are cancelled and dipping one’s hand in holy water is strictly prohibited. Three major Serie A soccer games in the area have been postponed, and schools have all been closed for the foreseeable future. Anyone defying the restrictions faces three months in jail and a fine of around $250.

But all across the country, paranoia is spreading faster than the virus. Giorgio Armani tweeted that he will now hold his Fall 2020 show behind closed doors in Milan this week, livestreaming the runway from an empty theater. The mayor of Milan, a city of more than 1.3 million people, announced Sunday that all schools and universities will be closed for at least a week even though the city is not locked down under the current quarantine.

In Rome, nervous taxi drivers outside Fiumicino Airport were hesitant to pick up Asian passengers and a Chinese woman in Turin reported being assaulted for simply being Chinese.

You are aware of the distance between the UK and China aren't you - compared to Thailand ?

truth is relative.

it's all about definitions.

when a thai official say: "we are screening" people for new cases, he means

taking their body temperature. no fever - no corona.

when chinese learned - the hard way - how to screen for the virus, they learned

to do x-rays and other serious checks.

anyway, it seems that thailand luck is that this virus hates tropical weather,

corona virus loves cold, that is why it is booming now in s.korea and north italy,

but not so much in tropical hong kong and singapore.

Tedros needs the support of China’s all-powerful President Xi Jinping to increase on-the-ground access for the world’s best infectious disease experts. Xi, meanwhile, is facing public anger over his government’s handling of the crisis and has bristled at foreign criticism.
