Indebted used-car dealer kills self, family and dogs

A used-car dealer killed himself, his mother , sister , his wife and child in Phitsanulok province , according to news report on Friday (February 21). Six dogs were also found dead.

 

The initial investigation pointed to Kantaphon’s debt as the cause of his act while notes of despair were found on his phone.

 

“We cannot live, so we decided to die together. We tried everything to survive, but none worked. We are at a dead end,” read one of his notes. 

 

Kantaphon’s neighbours saw him the last time on late Wednesday (February 19), before he closed his used-car business on Thursday (February 20).

 

His relatives said the last time they contacted him was on Wednesday, before breaking down the door of his house where they found the corpses the following day.

Sad...family did not receive much needed help in their time of need...likely pride as and saving face were contributing factors...

I'm quite sure neither the (presumably very young) child nor the poor dogs had a say in this. What a deplorable act!

expect this to happen much more frequent while the tourism industry downs into the toilet

Nice house for a used car salesman with a large family. Too nice it would seem. Lots of mental pressure when you are living way beyond your means as so many Thai's are inclined to do.  Not quite sure how he got his family to buy in on his grand plan to solve the problems.. Sad indeed.

I see this story on the news and the guys family said noooo way would he do such a thing. Mybe the peaple  he owed money to done the crime
