The EC have just dissolved the best political party that Thailand has ever had for the most trivial of reasons.. and what do thais think of it?? The answer i received was 'I don't care anymore.' I was just at a gathering of more than 100 thai people for a company excursion. As the news broke that FFP would be dissolved and I directly informed two thais sitting opposite me the reaction was one of indifference. Now whether or not this was down to me being a foreigner discussing thai politics I have no idea but i found there level of apathy striking. This is exactly what these generals and elites are counting on. The fact that most thai ppl who support FFP will remain unresponsive and politically neutralized is precisely what they need to maintain power. What has just happened over the weekend was an absolute disgrace of the highest order imo, democracy is finished here and everyone can see it. But nobody seems to notice, and nobody seems to care. May as well just hand power to these parasites for the next 100 years now. So, so sad.
