Hi,

my Thai partner (of 12 years) and I are thinking to spend our future lives, 6 months in Thailand and 6 months in Australia. I am retiring but my partner owns a business in Australia and is thinking to set up a similar business in Thailand where we also own a house.

My question is, is there a particular visa which would cover my situation of half the year residency in Thailand (and half in Australia)? If there is not, what would be my best option? I would greatly appreciate your advice.

If over age 50 there is a retirement visa option (non immigrant O visa extended by Immigration) with 800k baht in bank account or proof of 65k monthly income or combination. There is no requirement to live full time in Thailand but exit will cost 1,000 baht for a re-entry permit.
