PM concerned about campus flash mobs

IMG_7950.jpg

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed concern over the proliferation of flash mobs at universities and high schools to protest against the dissolution of the Future Forward party, and the possibility that they may lead to confrontation and unrest.

The emergence of political rallies, in the aftermath of the Future Forward party’s dissolution by the Constitutional Court, starting at universities and now spreading to some high schools, has led to the Prime Minister telling the media today that he understands the good intent of the students adding, however, that he is concerned that they might be misled by one-sided information and might be used as a tool as part of political agenda.

He pleaded with the protesting students to be open to information from the Government as well, saying that he didn’t want a repeat of the coloured political divide and eventual political unrest. He said that several core leaders of rival political groups, whatever their political colours, are now serving terms in jail or are facing trial.

We have a minster who is currently being grilled about his heroin conviction. The opposition is presenting evidence that he was convicted of smuggling heroin. The evidence is there and the facts cannot be denied. Yet here he is, still a minister for the coalition. All he does when presented with these facts is deny them. Don't talk to people about listening to both sides. This is just one example of a disgusting abuse of power.

Of course he's worried, can see his iron-grip slowly being neutralised, those bloody pesky students, "what would they know about running the country?" - - the answer to that is, probably more than the self-elected pretenders currently pretending they know what they are doing.

We have evidence that the army has paid people to go online and promote themselves and the government in a good light. Who pays for the army again? That's right - the tax payer.

Arrest by bullet seems to be a tried and test method in Thailand in the past.

Of course he is concerned! But for all the wrong reasons. He'd be wise to listen to their concerns as these flash mobs are about to become much larger (and flashier).

I wonder if Mr. Prayuth would be equally concerned if it was his own party that had been dissolved on flimsy grounds and "flash mobs" gathered as a result.

By the way: These are not "flash mobs", Mr. Prayuth. These are representatives of the six million voters your constitution court disenfranchised on a whim; a court, I might add, that apparently is not even supposed to exist because it has not been properly established by way of an act.

And perhaps, Mr. Prayuth, "flash mobs" wouldn't be necessary if only you had honored your promise to return democracy to Thailand. Instead, the state apparatus appears to systematically persecute political opposition. Just like in the good 'ole days, huh, Mr. Prayuth?

Frankly, the problem with soldiers in politics is that they shouldn't be in politics in the first place.

Children should be seen and not heard-and that goes for most  of the rest of the population too.

Pyrrhic victory, as they say. Having a viable opposition establishes your democratic credentials. Tear away the veil, and you're exposed.

Of course he`s concerned. He and his government just can control low-class and uneducated people. This is just the start and a step-by-step process. At least i am happy that those kids have a bunch of charismatic, young and educated leaders with the FFP guys.

I expect the Administration's cyber war room will be going into overdrive to combat this lot.Do they put minors in gaol in Thailand or just attitude adjustment classes.Bit tricky to deal hundreds of screaming kids without coming off as a bully.Remember Pratuth these are Thailand's future.

The more concerned the usurper is, the better. Let them be concerned in jail for treason.

Kids - Thailand's future, nah! I am Thailand's future, just me, all by myself - in his own little mind.

Hooha to the students.

Can't say the same for the rest of the Thai's who are disinterested in their country's future after it was taken over by the same military general in 2014 who was supposed to hand it back as caretaker after a democratic election was held in 2019, (too late).

He had 5 years to plan the changes to the constitution, which cannot be undone for 20 years and he made 350 of the 500 senate seats referenced for his military chumps so that he would have the majority to run the country after he then ran for Prime Minister and won, (if you believe that), so to oust him is basically impossible unless his mates gang up on him with the numbers which aint going to happen because everybody is eating humble pie while Thailand is being gouged by the billions, now that's what I call a conflict of interest and giving it to your people up the rear without any lube.

So,  instead of being remembered as the PM who delivered the people of Thailand a new and enlightened future where even the poorest matter.....he sides with Darth Vader and follows the dark side.  No bronze statue for you laddie,  just a huge pile of kee quay!
