Dual pricing- cd we list places with fair pricing

Featured Replies

Reading Richard Barrows FB page, he managed to persuade a flower park in 'the green lung' to scrap their dual pricing. Bravo.

I can accept to a point, so just wondering which attractions in Thailand offer free/same/ fairer pricing (even if dual).

A Thaivisa list wd be great.

Which flower park is that? We might go there to support them, never heard of a flower park in BKK though.

Personally I would never support anyone who charged dual pricing and then decided not to because tourism was down, just saying.

Suan Dok Krachao, Bang Krachao. Basically a made for tourist flower park

kind of reminds me of the teletubbies set but with more flowers.

if you don't like the pricing here at least you have options (maybe)..

I'm ok with it if it's not too crazy.  example of when its not fair  - long tail takes you to a beach of their choice, as you set foot on the sand theres a guy with a book of tickets forcing you to pay 400 b park fee each

I am not OK with it.

"Sorry m'am, you have to pay more for the dinner because you happen to have foreign husband."

"Sorry kid, you want to treat your father for his birthday? Well he is a foreigner so you will have to save some extra money and work a little bit longer."

I fail to see why that is fair.

Never enter any place with dual pricing.

Let my wife go in and look what I save pays for a drink while I wait.

Not the money the principle.

Ramayana Water Park, Pattaya is same price for all residents of Thailand (proof needed), but about 25% - 45% higher prices for tourists (1130 v 840 for adults & 899 v 550 for kids).

Over 60's get in for greatly reduced price (590B) regardless of resident/tourist.

At the Harbor Mall, Pattaya there is no dual pricing in the games/recreation areas. At the roller blading rink I saw a sign saying that over 60's go for free - I didn't try as my insurance wouldn't cover me for a hip replacement.
