WOW! Maybe Thailand truly is changing. This sort of thing used to be standard business operations. I recall a few years back a report by the UN calling the RTP the most organised criminal gang on the

How can a police captain be a police colonel????

Maybe the same way a naval Lt. can be a ship's captain?

Its nit what they did more like who they did it to this 22 year old must be CONNECTED BIG TIME.

I'm curious whose kids they accidentally abducted and extorted this time.

They're not prosecuting these guys for some normal, run of the mill victims.

no protection for the men who have sullied the name of the force

Meanwhile the rest of the force are busy: collecting protection money from businesses across the City; selling fake licences to bars; turning a blind eye to EVERY taxi driver breaking the meter law of the land; ignoring red-light runners; speedsters; holding up traffic; 'fining' motorists.

I wish you luck General.

There are rights nowadays in Thailand? Sounds amazing.

Yes, as evidenced by the very point that you brought up.

Anyway, whose faces were blurred?  You can't see them so they may not be the accused, victims have the right to anonymity also.

No right to anonymity once charged.

sorry but the Thai "Justice" or criminal system is fundamentally flawed.  There is no separate law enforcement, prosecution, civilian authority etc. Everything falls back to being subservient to the military.

I bet we'll never hear about this case again.

Saying this particular group "will not be protected, face full consequences" openly implies other groups ARE "protected" and/or DO NOT "face full consequences".
