I have been offered a job at a school for next year and am in the process of working on the visa. The school is concerned because the teaching degrees and certificates do not have the same name as my passport (My passport just has a truncated name like Bob for Robert/Pat for Patrick) The school is worried the Thai authorities won't accept it. Does this completely jeopardize my visa? Any advice on what to do here? Thanks

It could certainly be a problem. I have heard of people having a problem due to their passport or degree not having their middle name on them.

Perhaps get a new passport with your full name on it.
