Trump, ever in need of praising himself for his utter failures, called the US deaths and injuries resulting from his Iran war of choice "small potatoes". Trump tried to compare loses in his debacle to deaths in Vietnam, which her erroneously said was 100,000. If the Universe was fair and just, he would have passed in Vietnam and saved the world a bushel of grief and destruction, but his "bone spurs" got in the way (though not in the way of him playing tennis). Imagine you get word from the drunk, currently pretending to lead the Dept of Defense, saying your son or daughter was killed as a result of an attack from Iran. You're full of grief. You're suffering an unimaginable loss. Then the coward claiming to be Commander-in-Chief calls your terrible loss "small potatoes". Anyone who served and lost a colleague to enemy fire is, and must be, outraged by Trump's callous and disrespectful words. There once were people in both Parties who had a kind of morality and courage, however thin that might be. There were also serving men and women in the Armed Forces who had not only battlefield courage, but moral and intellectual courage. They are all gone. The Party members fear a mean Tweet or no campaign funding, so they let "small potatoes" pass without comment. The military types, seniors NOT beholden to Article 88 of the UCMJ, remain silent, seemingly preferring instead to hold out for a fourth star. None of them has the moral fortitude of a Generals Mattis, Kelly, Milley or others who have served with honor and moral courage. The US is headed by a psychopathic idiot and coward, and he has surrounded himself with unctuous, sycophantic, groveling cowards, lacking any semblance of moral courage or authority, letting the most egregious disrespect of the ultimate sacrifice go without comment. The most vile and disgusting creature still wasting air is never corrected by the clowns bowing to him. How far the US has fallen!
