Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimon Mangkhalaram or Wat Pho Temple, one of Bangkok’s major attractions, has launched Covid-19 prevention measures, including checking the body temperature of visitors.

Wat Pho is one of Bangkok's oldest temples, built before the city became the capital of Thailand under the reign of King Rama I. The original name of this temple was Wat Photaram (Wat Photaram), from which the name Wat Pho was derived.

In 2018, this temple was voted by ‘Tripadvisor’ users as the seventeenth popular attraction in the world. However, the numbers of tourists visiting the temple have been decreasing due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
