Canada to be closed

Featured Replies

For information to Canadians just in case you are not aware.  Yesterday, Monday, 16 march, 2020, PM Trudeau, announced that as of Wednesday, 15 March, 2020, to time given, ALL borders into Canada will be closed to inbound travellers.  The only exceptions will be for returning Canadian citizens and permanent residents, citizens from the U.S.A., and people involved in commercial activities, such as truck drivers, international pilots, and the like.  The Canadian Government is asking all airlines bringing passengers into Canada to pre-screen all passengers to determine if they show signs of corona virus and if they do to prevent them from boarding and flying to Canada.  Planes from international locations will only be allowed to land at Vancouver International, Calgary International, Toronto Pearson International, and (of course) Montreal Trudeau International Airports.  Also, there has been panic buying at stores and although fresh supplies are continuously being placed on shelves, hoardings are packing their own shelves with many needless items, many of which they would not normally purchase.
