Domestic Tourism Hotspots for the Socially Distanced

Social Distancing in order to "flatten the curve" is now the clarion call of the virus adverse.

So lets start listing the "Best" local tourist spots in Thailand for those who wish to still have fun, but want to "keep their distance" from others whom may be Covid-19 carriers.

I'll start this off with a report from Chiang Mai.  A member of the family was having a birthday so I took the family out for a birthday brunch followed by a visit to The Royal Flora Gardens Ratchaphruek.  It was a wonderful visit as we felt truly like VIPs.  On the 200 acre site, we were the only visitors with the exception of one other lonely soul who seem thrilled to also have virtually the whole complex to himself.  We had a great time.  On our way out the exit we saw three more Thai guys heading in.  Perhaps visitors?  Or maybe front office staff?  The employees definitely had us outnumbered.  However, little fear of contagion as most of the employees were outside in the fresh air and balmy breeze.  If you're currently in Chiang Mai and are exercising 'social distancing', then I highly recommend The Royal Flora Garden Ratchaphruek as an A-Number-1 tour spot for the socially distanced!
FMO: Face-masks optional
TEMP: Temperature taken before entering
HG: Hand gel provided at the security station.  A souvenir bottle of hand gel is given to each visitor at the ticket booth.

DP: Dual prices charged but I was able to talk the ticket booth employee in to only charging me as a Thai adult.  Couldn't get the Thai Senior rate but who's complaining!
SDS: Social Distancing Score - 10+  (Highly Recommend, Nobody Home)

I don’t do that dual pricing <deleted> TIT

Yes indeed, this garden with its floral designs and ornate architecture is, in my opinion, DEFINITELY worth a visit - whatever the cost! I have visited on many occasions just for a relaxing stroll among magnificent gardens, many shaded.

From Wikipedia:-

"The Royal Flora Ratchaphruek was an international horticultural exposition held 1 November 2006 to 31 January 2007 in the Thai city Chiang Mai

The 92 days of the expo featured 30 international gardens reflecting nations such as Japan, South Korea, Belgium, Netherlands, South Africa, and Canada. More than 2.5 million trees of 2,200 species of tropical plants and flowers were on display in this exhibition".

I visited during the EXPO and it was fantastic with all the international gardens, each with its own pavilion. The gardens were kept and many of the pavilions still remain, including the Orchid House and the Royal Pavilion (center-piece). During my visit, a member of the Thai Royal Family was escorting the King of Bhutan on a tour.
