Came on 30 day EV.  I then got a further 30 days at jomtien on 12th march.

Its due to run out on 10 april.

If i want stay more how can i get extention as border of laos and cambodia are closed.

Many airlines to dublin are now ceasing to operate such as ryanair.airlingus.eurowings.norwayair.finnair.

I am having difficulty getting flight.

What options are open to me .

Also im concerned to fly with too many people at close quarters on a flight so could i use this against insurance ?

Ive insurance with nationwide building society FLEX PLUS WORLDWIDE .

Advise please.

Thanks

Thanks in advance

Talk to your embassy. If they are willing to provide a letter to the effect that you cannot safely return to Ireland, Immigration will probably grant you an extension.  Based on what I have seen, you may initially have the application for the extension under consideration with a later report back date. Without a letter from the embassy, getting an extension is likely to be difficult. Consider an overstay.

It depends where you are. Only this morning I extended my Visa (Ubon) that was due on the 2nd April. I extended another 30 days. I needed photocopies of my passport photo page. Entry stamp page. TM6 entry card. Also 2 passport photos. Finally my rental contract in the apartment building I am staying at.

I had to get some stamps from the revenue office for 60 bht that were stuck to my rental contract. Plus the 1,900,bht fee.

They gave the extension and said the next time it must be on a border crossing. But I am ok know until May start.

Qatar, no problem, although I get the feeling your using the situation as an excuse to stay longer.

Flights are more than half empty. The airlines are seating passengers apart.

I do not want to overstate the risks involved with flying. However, social distancing on a plane may not be effective. While an aircraft is pressurised, air in the cabin is continuously recirculated. It is entirely possible that over the course of a 12+ hour flight, droplets in the air could increase to levels where they are causing infections. This assumes:

  1. There is someone booked on the flight that is infected with the virus.
  2. That person had no symptoms that prompted airline staff to deny boarding. It should be noted that most asymptomatic individuals do not seem to be shedding the virus in a significant way.
  3. The infected individual (usually through coughing) is polluting the cabin air sufficiently that it is an issue. If the person is wearing a mask, the risk of this occurring is much reduced.

As is so often the case, there is a real risk, but not as great as many believe.

That`s why they put you in lock down for 2 weeks when you arrive.

You got another +30 on top of a previous +30?

or +30 for the first time on top of your visa?

No doubt i do not want return as yet that is true.

Also no doubt that i am concerned to be on any flight where im sitting near any potential carrier of virus and that is a very real threat.

Based on my concern is is it right that i should put myself in such a predicament ?

Would you ???

That is actually not the case for most modern aircraft. Not all of the air is recirculated. Some of the air is pulled from the outside which would not be infected at all and the recirculated air, on modern aircraft is filtered through a HEPA filter. So the chances of you getting sick from the air in the cabin are pretty small if not non-existent. The only danger you have of infection is if someone who is sick is sitting within about 2 meters of you and coughing and/or sneezing droplets into the air and onto you. If everyone on the plane is wearing a mask then your chances of getting sick pretty much go to zero.

An overstay is 500thb each day. If all borders are closed for, say, one month that would be 15000thb.
