The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) has announced that it will temporarily close services at its branch offices in Bangkok, Samut Prakarn and Nonthaburi provinces to prevent the spreading of the new coronavirus or Covid-19.

The following transactions and services will no longer be available at MEA branches: changing electricity user’s name, transferring electricity deposit, and applying for refund on electricity deposit.

Other services that can be offered online or via telephone, including the notifying and fixing of electrical malfunctions, are still available as normal.

For those who wish to apply for refund of electricity deposit, please register online at http://measy.mea.or.th at any time or register via telephone at 0 2256 3333 (auto 50 lines) from 8am–3.30pm on working days. The application period started from March 25 onwards.
