The British Embassy in Bangkok has released details on airlines still offering flights from Thailand to the UK as of 12:30pm 26 March 2020.

An announcement made on the UK in Thailand Facebook page reads:

???? As of 26 March, the following airlines still offer flights from Thailand to the UK. As the situation changes very rapidly, please confirm the status of your flight with the airline.

Although most of the flights are fully booked, there is a chance for passengers to stand by at the airport as seats are usually available due to no shows. Please notify the check-in staff at least 2 hours before the counter closes so that you have sufficient time to get the tickets issued.

Wouldn't book any flights out until I saw the incoming flight on its way.

Airlines are having a bad time, but their practices are pretty 'sharp', too.

Pay for it, and it doesn't fly, then you're locked into their non-existent refund process and will end up having to take a voucher for future use.

Today on Expedia I found only 4 airlines still offering flights to Paris which is where I would want to go of I was to leave: China Eastern, Korean, Aeroflot and Qatar. Horrendous prices. None direct. Long layovers. Thai fly direct but stopped today I think. Cannot book anything online with them. Thai Smile sent me a cheerful message saying all their scheduled internal flights still operating.

So I'm here for a while longer!

THAI Airways from Munich this morning had a total of 6 passengers (all Thai). There was a flight from Frankfurt a couple of days ago with 2 passengers.

So although the outbound flights are full it is reasonable that one way fares cost more than they normally would.
