Sister-in-law has a friend who works at CW. He told her that they are spraying EVERYONE who needs to enter with an alcohol spray so they go in wet although he told her it evaporates quickly.

By all accounts it isn't Chivas Regal so don't get your hopes up.

Seems a really good idea for killing mobile phones if he isn't exaggerating so best keep those in your bum-bag. But also it is actually a really good way to combat virus on peoples clothes - if there was any. Seems to me that to combat infections not yet showing one would need to be pickled in the stuff but what do I know.

Also Bangkok seems to have a 4.00pm around to 8.00am curfew in force from Saturday night with police or soldiers preventing transit. Haven't seen anything in English supporting this but sisters-in-law got stopped and warned that

once in force anyone on the wrong side of the dividor would stay there until the following day.

I would suggest staying away from Chaeng Wattana, based on the photos I've seen it's the one place to go if you want to catch a 'cold'

I don't have a choice, got to report for my 1 yr extension stamp on 7th April. My wife is already panicking because i refuse to wear a mask. I know I'll have to at CW or they silly sods win't let me in.

My wife cannot grasp that if masks actually were effective given that most Thais habitually wear them like a fashion accessory due to the pollution NO ONE would have become infected whereas we all know that many have and that the WHO are correct.

I intend to keep a goodly distance, and we carry sanitiser gel and use it religiously. What else can we do except stay away from people!
