I just read a very informative post that a poster went to CW at 05.30am and it opened at 06.00am or thereabouts.

He was fortunate to get an understanding IO (not that rare!!) who processed his Retirement extension at 06.30am and then, when the bank opened at 08.30am, allowed him to return with the letter, thus saving him to queue up again.

My marriage extension is due soon, and I am wondering if anyone else was lucky enough to get there very early, submit the application for a Marriage/retirement extension for 1 year and then simply wait for the bank to open, get a letter and finish the application without being refused by an IO.

Or to be safe, does CW accept bank letters dated the day before application?

Thanks.

pretty sure CW immigration does'nt open until  8.30 ... they apparently give out queue tickets that let you in the immigration doors once it opens. As far as i'm aware no one actually gets a ticket to see the IOs until its open ... I could be wrong though, as i've never been there that early

EDIT ... your bank book has to be updated the day you apply for the marriage visa

I read that report and as far as I know they are still opening early. But it could of changed since the opened the temporary office.

CW will accept the bank letter from the day before but you need to update your bank book on the day you apply.

Some say yes, some say no!!

I suppose it depends on the IO you are dealing with.

Has anyone submitted an extension application in the last few days and gone for a bank letter afterwards?

Also, any concrete opening times?

Thanks
