Kasikornbank has shut its Klong Toei branch from today (March 30) until April 10 to carry out major cleaning after one of its staff there tested positive for Covid-19, according to a bank statement.

The bank said it was informed at 11am today that the employee was confirmed to have Covid-19. The person fell sick on March 27 and went to hospital for a test the following day.

The bank has already asked its staff at the branch to go into self-quarantine at their homes under Public Health Ministry rules.

The branch will reopen on April 13.

The bank has informed the Public Health Ministry and the Bank of Thailand.

It has also advised customers who used its services at the branch from March 16-27 to isolate themselves for 14 days and closely observe their condition.

Tell the affected staff, your customers and the rest of the world, that not every single infection results in immediate sudden death!

If they close the branch from March 30 to April 13, what's with that "major cleaning"? Looks like that's just for show, as the virus would be inactive after those two weeks anyway.

That looks like the Khlong Toei market which is usually crowded with buyers and sellers. It won't be good if it spreads from seller to seller there.
