Emergency visa extension in koh phangan

Recommended Posts

HI,

I have an israeli passport with a tourist visa which I've already extended 3 weeks ago and it's about to expire on April 5th.

I understood i could extend it in Samui Immigration as long as I bring a letter from the embassy (which I have) but they have huge waiting lines due to the borders being closed.

I have also heard of 2 or 3 alternatives on the island including a law firm that offer to do it instead...Does anyone know if these are reliable?

Also - is the emergency visa at the immigration full 30 days? I've heard some people got 15+15 days extension which means you need to report back after 15 days or something like that.

Thanks in advance.

I cannot answer the agent question.

What most offices are doing is giving a under consideration stamp with a report back date 15 to 20 days after application. That is due to the approval of the extension has to done by a higher ranking officer than is available in the local office.
