webfact Posted April 1, 2020 Author Share Posted April 1, 2020 Nakhon Nayok jailers in quarantine after warden tests positive for Covid-19 By The Nation Eighteen jailers in Nakhon Nayok province were quarantined for 14 days after the warden of Nakhon Nayok prison, Boonmee Wiboonjak, got infected with Covid-19. The jailers were sent to two quarantine centres in the province. They are people who had made contact with the warden and there would be an investigation of people who had contact with the 18 officials. Boonmee had been receiving treatment for pneumonia at a hospital from Monday and tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday. He was later transferred to a better-equipped facility in Bangkok. The prison was being sanitised, while officials from the Disease Control Department were sent to inspect the place on Wednesday afternoon. The virus has even been detected in the Amazon......it's getting everywhere now and Thai prisons are not immune!
