Please Help A Thai Lady.

I would like to ask a big favour to you Thai Lady's.

Would any of you take a few minutes of your time to write a letter to a good Thai Lady friend of mine who has been in jail in the USA since February.

I sent her a letter 2 weeks ago when I found out where she was and had a reply this week. She told me it was the first letter she had received since she has been there and she had to borrow a stamp paper/envelope to reply to me from an inmate.

The reason she is in Jail was something that happened 5 years ago when she was running a Tour Company in LOS and a clever American/Thai duped her into an illegal operation.

I have known her for 4 years and whether she is guilty or not is not the question, she is a friend of my wife and myself. She is Thai and needs communication from Thai people whether you know her or not to keep her spirits up. I spoke to her German b/f last night and dont think he is interested.

I cant imagine how she feels being locked up in a foreign country, no friends, no mail, no visits, no Thai food, no money.

Would any of you be so kind as to send her a letter and maybe a Thai magazines to give her some encouragement to keep her spirits up before her trial in May?

Please send me a PM if you would like her address at the jail in USA. I would be so grateful.

Thanks in advance.

There aren't that many Thai ladies on this board, but the few there are may be interested. You might try checking some of the Thai expat boards for the USA, as you may have better luck there.

Thanks for that, good idea.

If your wife is Thai have her post a note on one of the busier Thai language boards like Pantip.com too.

There are it seems thousands of first and second generation Thai ladies living here and in the US on You Tube. A search for ladies between the ages of 18 and 60 should prove most fruitfull. It also seems that many of them keep in contact with each other ie network. I would give this a try. I will pass on your letter to 2 ladies I know living in the US... Best of luck!
