Did my 60 day extension today at Chang Wattana (forgive the spelling).  Got there around 7:30 and to my surprise they were already open and processing.  I grabbed a que ticket and went to the photo copy place to make a few copies the missus forgot a few days ago.  When we tried to reenter they asked us to wait an other 30 minutes as limited seats and our number was still a ways out.  We obliged and grabbed a cup of coffee.  When we got back at the time they mentioned we were able to get a seat (singular).  Most of the seats were marked off for social distancing purposes.  I let her have it and stood far off to the side.  They called our number around 9am.  the IO was friendly and went through the docs.  The IO and my wife started talking and could see something was wrong.  Turns out, my wife left our original marriage cert back in the USA.  The IO was polite and said we needed to run to another government office to get an official copy.  She took the rest of our paperwork and told us to come straight back to her on our return.  The other office was not far (across the street near the bridge).  Took my wife about 10 minutes in that facility to get what we needed.

 

When we got back the lines had grown substantially.  Took us about 30 minutes just to get inside the building.  Got back to original IO, she did her thing and took our picture etc.  Went back to the waiting area and about 10 minutes later my name was called.  All in all, even with the trip across the street took about 3-3.5 hours.  

 

The were announcing over the loud speaker throughout to keep distancing and seemed to be taking the whole situation quite seriously but professionally.

Thanks for the report. Exactly what documents did you a actually need. Did you need a tm30?

We did the TM30 when we first arrived but have since spent a few nights in a hotel.  Asked the wife about that before we left and she failed to redo it when we returned.  luckily it was not an issue.

p.s.  after we filled out 3 separate forms at immigration.  the IO asked i write my name, passport number, and date on a blank page.  Then she asked me to write "need only 60 days" and sign.  Was strange since that is what all the other documents stated.
